One of the following methods must be used to bring "the beast" to the boat:

1. Bow or Crossbow with Gator Getter Broadhead (we like to use Interloc brand) and breakaway arrow. We use 600lb. test cord made specially for bowfishing for big game (sharks, gar, gators). On the end of the string (about 10-15 yards) we have a float fastened. If you have ever seen "Jaws", you know what we are talking about. This is shot into the gator (the neck is the best place due to the softer hide there and better penetration) and the chase is on! This is the most successful and preferable method. Bow poundage of 60lb. is absolute minimum!

2. Lasso the gator with a noose on a long pole. This method is more difficult due to how close you must get to the gator.

3. Fishing Rod (large surf rod). A large treble hook is cast over the gator and the gator is then snagged due to a hard, powerful hook set. The gator is then fought to the boat like a trophy Marlin. Except more dangerous!

No Shotguns or Rifles Are Allowed in the Boat!!!
